MagInBio Summer Conference
1st - 2nd July 2025
I’m tremendously proud of our first MagInBio Conference, during which we learned about the effects of magnetism on the heart, brain, muscles nerves; the importance of magnetism in avian migration and pollution’s effects on the brain and even how to treat diseases and perform surgery using magnets. We look forward to seeing you at the next one!
The MagInBio Network funds interdisciplinary collaborations that combine research into the fundamentals of magnetism, magnetic materials or devices and biological systems or materials.
We currently have two funding opportunities open:
Mobility Fund - Up to £1000 for researchers (especially ERCs) in areas related to MagInBio to attend conferences or visit institutions to share work related to the network goals.
Pump-Prime - £2000 - £5000 to fund initial experiments combining magnetism and biology, with a view to creating a long term collaboration.
